The Columbus Blue Jackets are living rent free in Colorado Avalanche superstar Nathan McKinnon's head on Sunday.

It was a party at Ball Arena was on Saturday night, as especially when MacKinnon, the reigning Hart Trophy winner, received his award from Denver Nuggets NBA MVP Nikola Jokic. Both brought titles to the city, with the Avalanche winning the Stanley Cup in 2022, and Nuggets taking home the Larry O Brien in 2023.
Yet by evening's end, Columbus was making all the noise. The Blue Jackets crashed the festivities with Sean Monahan and Kirill Marchenko scoring a goal and notching two assists each, ad the visitors managed to keep the pressure on the hosts all night in a 6-4 win.
You could see how frustrated MacKinnon was with the result, even getting a 10-minute misconduct for breaking his stick and chastising the referees.
It was a frustrating end to an otherwise fun night where Nate even scored the Avalanche's first home of the season.
For Columbus, the victory, was their first since they lost Johnny Gaudreau. The franchise star along with his brother Matthew were struck on August 29, by drunk driver Sean Higgins while riding their bikes.
The Avalanche were receiving criticism on social media for not acknowledging the tragedy pregame, with fans claiming the loss served justice.
