Needless to say, Edmonton Oilers fans have been patiently waiting for a chance to reunite with the Stanley Cup.

So when Edmonton secured their spot in the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 2006, with a thrilling 21 victory over the Dallas Stars in Game 6, the atmosphere at Rogers Place was absolutely electric.
As Stars coach Peter DeBoer addressed the media in his postgame obituary, it was so loud in the arena, «We want the Cup» chants by Oilers fans disrupted the presser.
The "We Want The Cup" chants in Edmonton were so loud it flooded Peter DeBoer's post-game press conference 😳
Despite being outshot 35 to 10 by the Stars, the Oilers managed to defy the odds and clinch their Finals berth, much to the delight of their loyal fans.
For Oilers fans, this journey to the Finals has been a long time coming. After enduring a decade of darkness, with ten consecutive years of playoff drought, the arrival of Leon Draisatil at No 3 overall in 2014, and Connor McDavid at the top of the 2015 draft brought renewed hope to the franchise. And now, after years of perseverance, they find themselves back in the Finals.
When the Oilers players steered clear of the Clarence Campbell Trophy, it was a clear indication that they're not satisfied yet. They want more, and they're determined to bring home the ultimate prize for their fans.
But standing in their way are the formidable Florida Panthers, who are also vying for their maiden Stanley Cup championship in franchise history. It's shaping up to be an epic showdown between two hungry teams, and Oilers fans can't wait to see their beloved team chase history once again when the Finals kick off on Saturday, June 8th.
