Stuart Skinner has been an invaluable player for the Edmonton Oilers throughout the season. Unfortunately, after a decline in his performance in their playoff series against the Los Angeles Kings, this goaltender was forced to respond to fans' critiques.

In Edmonton's latest game against Los Angeles, starting goaltender Stuart Skinner has earned criticism after allowing 5 goals in only 26 shots, losing the Oilers the lead in their series. Many fans blame Skinner for this loss entirely, with some bringing up his sub-standard save percentage and goals against average in the playoffs over the years.
Despite the incoming harshness, Skinner responded to questions about his performance in a post-game interview. He saw his game differently than fans, stating that he did not believe he had a major role in the team's loss.
"It was okay. I didn't really do too much, I don't think I was a big factor in the game tonight. And that's okay, I'm gonna get better from that and move on."
Those critical of his game were quick to retort back on social media. However, Skinner was also met with fans who were hopeful for his improvement.
The Edmonton Oilers will play the next game in their series against the Los Angeles Kings tomorrow night. Hopefully, Skinner can step up his game and bring his team back into the lead.
