Matthew Tkachuk Gets Laid Out On Hilarious Interference Penalty

Wild forward Marcus Foligno has never been shy about being physical so it makes sense that he would want to lay a few bug hits early in the season just to get himself and his team pumped up. Last night he took it a bit too far though as he hit Matthew Tkachuk so far away from the puck that the refs were forced to give him a penalty for interference even though the hit had no impact on the play of the game.

The Panthers showed some early rust though as they were unable to find the back of the net on the powerplay. They would go on to lose the game 2-0. The Panthers will be back in action tomorrow as they take on the Jets in Winnipeg.
