The Winnipeg Jets were unfortunately eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs this past week and now Brenden Dillon is calling out the front office for not getting a contract offer.
This past season was quite a whirlwind for the Winnipeg Jets. At times looking unbeatable and at others looking helpless, the Jets ultimately ended their season after a first-round exit.
Defenseman Brenden Dillon was one of the Jets' most key pieces this season consistently playing top-four minutes. Despite being such a strong contributor for the franchise, he has yet to receive a contract offer and has called out the front office for not receiving an offer.
#NHLJets Brenden Dillon, always a straight shooter, admits he's «frustrated» he hasn't been offered a contract extension. Hopes it happens between now and July 1 when he becomes a UFA. Would love to re-sign in Winnipeg.
Brenden Dillon is a pending UFA. It sounds like he's happy in Winnipeg, feels like a good fit, and will also at least consider his options.
Also sounds like he wished he'd had a contract by now, but leaned on DeMelo and Winnipeg's history of summer signings.
So we'll see.
Dillon had his season end a little earlier than the rest of his Jets teammates after he suffered a horrific gash near the end of game three.
Dillon has made it clear that he is willing to stay so now hopefully GM Kevin Cheveldayoff will be able to pull the deal off.
