Winnipeg Jets' goalie, Connor Hellebuyck, reveals that he is not discouraged by the six goals he let past him in game 1 against the Avalanche.
In the game 1 win against the Colorado Avalanche, Connor Hellebuyck let in 6 goals but still ended up getting the win. This is what Hellebuyck had to say about giving up half a dozen goals Sunday evening,
"This time of year, who cares about stats, really? Stats are just gonna be something people look at, pick apart, and talk about. At the end of the day, it's 'Did you win, or did you not win?' ... 16 wins (gets you) the Stanley Cup and that's my goal, so who really cares about everything else that goes with it?"
Georgiev on the other hand, let in 7 goals and posted a .696 save percentage on 23 shots. This was an uncharacteristic game for both teams, and they both will look to put up better defensive numbers in game 2 on Tuesday, April 23.
