After a huge night in a disappointing Winnipeg Jets loss, star defenseman Josh Morrisey misses practice on Friday.

Despite a red-hot run leading into the All-Star break, the Winnipeg Jets have faltered as of late, dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday against the Vegas Golden Knights. Now, they find themselves in third place in the Central Division, with a seven point gap opened up between themselves and the Vegas Golden Knights, so the last thing they need is injury issues.
While they've got some good news on the return of forward Gabe Vilardi, the Jets may also have some bad news when it comes to star defenseman Josh Morrisey. According to a Jets reporter, Morrisey was the only skater missing practice on Friday ahead of a massive showdown with the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.
Only player missing appears to be Josh Morrissey from today's Jets practice.

He did play almost 30 minutes last night.

Morrisey has been a consistent force on the back end for the Jets all season long, and it's more likely than not that this is just a rest day for the veteran blue liner, who will be key to their success in 2023-24. We will keep you updated on any possible development surrounding Morrisey and the Jets heading into a crucial stretch, but for now it doesn't appear to be anything serious.
