The Winnipeg Jets have announced some unfortunate news regarding star center Mark Scheifele.

Jets Announce Scheifele Has Suffered An Injury

A new announcement from the Winnipeg Jets has confirmed that center Mark Scheifele has suffered a lower body injury. The Jets say that Scheifele is done for the night and will be evaluated further.
INJURY UPDATE: #NHLJets F - Mark Scheifele will not return to tonight's game due to a lower body injury.
As of now the exact incident that led to Scheifele's injury is unknown. One report believes he was hurt on the opening shift of the second period.
#NHLJets advise Scheifele is done for the night due to a lower body injury. It possibly occurred during the opening shift of the second period when the first power play unit was on the ice.
