Former Gatineau Olympiques goaltender Creed Jones has unexpectedly passed away at just 24 years old, shattering the QMJHL community.
Though many injuries hockey players suffer come from brutal play on the ice, sometimes life outside the rink is more dangerous. This unfortunately proved to be the case for former QMJHL goaltender Creed Jones. Jones was involved in a tragic motorcycle accident that took his life at only 24 years old.
"Creed Jones, a beloved goaltender from Ottawa, Canada, tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident. His passion for hockey and unwavering dedication to his teammates left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. The DT Tessler community is deeply mourning his loss, as Creed touched the lives of many in ways that words cannot fully capture. Aside from his dedication to his team and sport, Creed Jones is remembered among hockey fans for his time in the QMJHL. He played 93 games with the Gatineau Olympiques, Rimouski Oceanic, and Saint John Sea Dogs in the league from 2017-2021 before playing one season at the University of Ottawa.
