The Anaheim Ducks started 2023-24 well but have fallen off in the past month, and now, they've made a blockbuster deal to boost their future.

Philadelphia and Anaheim shock the NHL world

After massive contract news out of Toronto, the Anaheim Ducks and Philadelphia Flyers dropped a blockbuster trade, rivalling the shock and awe of that news.
Late on Monday afternoon, the Flyers agreed to send former No. 5 overall pick Cutter Gauthier to the Anaheim Ducks for Jamie Drysdale and a 2025 second-round draft pick.

The move gives the Flyers another potential young talent that can help them immediately, and the Ducks find themselves another top prospect that could help them for years to come, but it's safe to say that absolutely no one saw this deal coming.
