Insider Links Three Massive Free Agents to the Chicago Blackhawks
This NHL insider has just linked three massive free agents to the Chicago Blackhawks, and the names might surprise you.
Insider Suggests Three Massive Free Agents that the Blackhawks Should Go After
The Chicago Blackhawks are going through a little bit of a hangover at this point in the season, with the Bedard hype dying down and him out of the lineup with an injury. With other injuries to the team, NHL insider Mark Lazerus has suggested that the Chicago Blackhawks make calls to these three free agents.
OK, hear me out. Kyle Davidson's next three calls should be to:
1. Phil Kessel
2. Jonathan Toews.
3. Jaromir Jagr
Sell them tickets, baby.
Obviously, the Blackhawks aren't rumoured to be looking at any of these players specifically, and this is just a joking suggestion by Lazerus. However, he does make a point that each of the three above would make for some entertaining hockey in Chicago.
Kessel Should be a Legitimate Option for Chicago Given the Injuries
While the above was meant mostly as a joke, Chicago should maybe consider taking the first suggestion seriously. Phil Kessel is itching to return to the NHL, so he could be cheap at this point, and would be a great depth addition to the team that needs players given their injury status.
Sign Phil Kessel right f*ckin now #Blackhawks with all the injuries you need to fill roster spots Phil Kessel would help.
Kessel could also step into a nice mentorship role with
Connor Bedard, a hole that has been left from the sudden departure of
Corey Perry as his contract was terminated.
