With the Anaheim Ducks on the rise due to their young talent, it became time for them to lock some of those names down for the future, and now, it appears the first domino has fallen.
A rising star
While all eyes in the national media have been on Trevor Zegras, Troy Terry has quietly become one of the most versatile young forwards in the Western Conference, becoming key for the future of this team.
In 145 games over the past two years, Terry has scored 60 goals and totalled 128 points, and if he can continue that, he will be a cornerstone of the franchise for years to come alongside Zegras, Mason MacTavish and Leo Carlsson.
An extension on the way?
Now, it has been reported that the Ducks are closing in on a long-term deal for their star forward, with an official word potentially coming at any time in the next few days.
After years of struggle, this is a team that appears to now be turning it all around, and if they can lock down Zegras alongside Terry, they'll continue to be one of the most dangerous duos in the entire league.
