In a tweet last night, Kevin Weekes eluded to the next potential home of the Arizona Coyotes.
While the tweet is pretty ambiguous, it can be determined through the eyes emoji, the microscope emoji, and the picture of Houston that Weekes thinks Houston is a favorite for a new NHL team.
Why Houston Works
While Houston isn't hockey crazed like other candidates like Quebec, Houston has proven that they are sports crazed and have 3 of the 4 major North American sports with the Astros (baseball), the Texans (football), and the rockets (basketball).
This means that they are only an NHL team away from having all 4 major sports which only the biggest cities get.
Where Would They Play?
An NHL team in Houston would likely share an arena with the Houston Rockets meaning they would play in the Toyota Center in downtown Houston.
The Houston team could certainly generate a lot of revenue but would it be a better choice than some of the alternatives?
