Milan Lucic was arrested back in November for a disturbing incident involving his wife, and now, we've got the first major update in the case for quite some time.

Milan Lucic to face trial in February

After a virtual meeting on Zoom in which Lucic plead not-guilty, the domestic abuse allegations will officially go to trial on February 16th.
The @NHLBruins veteran forward #MilanLucic appeared for status hearing via @Zoom at #Boston Municipal Court on a domestic charge. A jury trial has been set for February 16th, so this is going to trial. Lucic is accused of dragging his wife by the hair during argument in November
The police report of the event reveals that this incident began over a missing cell phone, and ultimately ended when the police arrived to a disturbing scene.
"Operations relayed to the responding officers that the reporting party/victim called and stated that her husband attempted to choke her," according to police. "The victim stated that her husband could not locate his cellphone after returning to their apartment after a night out. She stated that the suspect began yelling at her, demanding his phone back, believing she had hidden the phone. She stated that she did not have the phone or know where it was."
So far, this all sounds bad for the Bruins forward, who has been away from the team since the incident occurred, and now we will learn more when the case officially goes to trial.
