The Boston Bruins debuted new lines in practice today. These lines indicate that captain Brad Marchand has been moved down the lineup after the team's latest struggles.

Bruins Sliding After Red Hot Start

The Boston Bruins were expected to have a bit of a falloff this season after losing both Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci to retirement. Despite these predictions, the team began the season on fire.
After starting the season with 13 wins and just 3 losses the Bruins now find themselves with a 14-4-3 record. Head coach Jim Montgomery shared his thoughts on why he believes the team is faltering.
Coach Montgomery on the #NHLBruins recent struggles: "It gets back to checking. I think we've been an easy team to play against. It's not just the last three games, it's probably the last six to seven."
With the struggles the Bruins have decided to shake up the lines to get players going. This meant some bad news for captain Brad Marchand.

Marchand Demoted In Latest Potential Bruins Lineup

The Bruins put their lines in a blender at practice today. The biggest change sees Brad Marchand move down to what many view as the third line of the Bruins.
Marchand will play alongside rookie Matt Poitras and veteran Danton Heinen. This line lacked the star power that the top six lines had. This move very well could be Montgomery trying to add some juice to his third line.
Poitras played fantastic in his first few NHL outings and showed a ton of potential. Placing him next to Marchand could get him going again. While on paper this line will be the team's third line it has the potential to get more playing time than other lines listed above them.
