The NHL's full slate of games returned over the weekend, and with several young players looking to make a name for themselves, we saw plenty of fiery action around the league.

A heavyweight showdown

In a matchup between two of the NHL's original six teams, we saw two unproven names collide, as New York's Ben Harpur battled AJ Greer during their one sided pre-season opener.
Unfortunately for the Bruins forward, the fight was just as one-sided, but this time in the favour of New York, as Harpur, who hosts a major height and weight advantage came away with a dominant showing.

A dominant outing

The 28-year old Harpur has played in 198 games over his NHL career, racking up 2 goals and 21 points over that time, and while fighting has become a lost art in the NHL, it's clear he believes he can make this team due to his physical presence.
In today's game, you need much more than that, but after trading away Ryan Reaves last year, this is a team that still needs that presence on the ice, and now, it appears Harpur is looking to slot into that role.
