With no contract in place, RFA Jeremy Swayman may sit out training camp due to hold out.

There has been a lot of discussion surrounding the topic of Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman this summer, these question marks have truly surfaced especially this week after Swayman was notably absent from the Bruins annual charity golf event.
During a recent episode of the Bruins Rinkside podcast, Bruins insider Fluto Shinzawa indicated that he would not be surprised if this holdout from Swayman extends beyond the start of training camp.
"I wouldn't be surprised if this goes into camp and he's not signed," said Shinzawa on Bruins Rinkside. "I think we've come to know Jeremy as someone who is very sure of himself, very confident, very secure in what he's done and what he can be."

Shinzawa sees things from the perspective of the Bruins who have yet to see
Swayman perform as a number one goaltender over the course of a full regular season.
"That said he has literally never been a number one regular season goalie," added Shinzawa. "There's no comparable there aside from Vasilevsky and he had already has two years of number one regular season performance."

"It's just bad timing for Jeremy... I don't see it happening in terms of a real big number," said Shinzawa.

"It's gonna come down to the pressure of missing time," said Shinzawa in conclusion.

From the sounds of it, this may not be what Bruins fans wanna hear right now, especially after trading away Linus Ullmark for virtually nothing in return. Hopes are to have their starting goaltender signed soon before things turn ugly.
