The Sabres just announced that star forward Tage Thompson has been placed on the Non-Roster List for personal reasons.

Thompson was a late scratch last night due to personal reasons and now seems to be out for an extended period. As of now the reasons for his absence have not been revealed.
The Sabres needed to make a roster move to get back down to 23 players so this could just be to give themselves more time for a bigger move while Thompson is already away anyway.
