Since Brent Burns was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes, a rumor has swirled around stating that he and Erik Karlsson have a bad relationship.
Yesterday, Karlsson was asked about their relationship and quickly shot it down.

When Karlsson and Burns played together, both saw a drop in their production.
While they could connect for plays like this, they filled the same phenotype.
In their final season playing together, they combined for a 111-point pace. After Burns got moved to Carolina, the two combined for 162 points (101 for Karlsson, 61 for Burns).
With Karlsson getting a fresh start in Pittsburgh, he will play against Burns a lot more and will look to compete with him for a division title.
