The Carolina Hurricanes have just announced that they are placing forward Evgeny Kuznetsov on unconditional waivers, aiming for a mutual contract termination.

Kuznetsov, who secured a Stanley Cup with the Washington Capitals in 2018, is bidding farewell to his NHL career, having achieved what he set out to accomplish on the ice in the States.
