Maintaining an NHL arena is no small feat. Most modern facilities start showing their age after about 25 years, and Nationwide Arena is no exception. To keep it in good shape, the Columbus Blue Jackets need some serious repairs.
The repairs must happen quickly to keep the arena in top shape for Blue Jackets fans and players. Yet if you're thinking of a potential arena move if this goes south, stop. In 2013, the boys in blue agreed to stay in Columbus and call this place home until at least 2039 or face $36 million in damages. They've been there since inception in 2000 and will remain for the long haul.
