The NHL has drawn criticism for their 10-year partnership with Fanatics, but now they've announced a new one with a well known headwear brand.

After a successful stint with Adidas, the NHL have officially followed suit of the other major leagues, partnering with Fanatics for on-ice gear and fan apparel, beginning in 2024/25 for the next decade. However, that move has drawn the ire of fans, who have constantly criticized Fanatics for the poor quality of their work, making the move by the NHL one of the least popular in recent times.
Now however, they've made one move to rectify that, as the league have now announced a huge partnership with New Era Cap, who will now get the license to create and distribute hats for all 32 NHL teams, beginning with the 2024/25 NHL regular season.
"The National Hockey League (NHL) and New Era Cap, LLC, the international sports and lifestyle brand, today announced a multiyear agreement that grants New Era rights to produce and distribute globally headwear and apparel for the League and its 32 teams. The agreement begins with the 2024-25 NHL season."
This comes in the wake of online criticism over the Fanatics caps that we've seen all throughout the post-season, especially of the Panthers Stanley Cup Finals winning hats.
Ultimately, this will likely prove to be a popular move on the part of the NHL, but for fans wanting to purchase jersey's that don't like Fanatics quality, you'll still have 10 years left before that partnership ends.
