Edmonton Oilers GM Ken Holland is almost done in Edmonton as this season is expected to be his last.
Holland To Step Away As GM
The Edmonton Oilers have been struggling so far this season to the surprise of the NHL community. Many expected them to compete for the Stanley Cup but they currently sit far outside of a playoff spot as the 4th worst team in the league.
They have made some changes like firing head coach Jay Woodcroft but it appears that more is to come in the near future.
GM Ken Holland is expected to be finished as the Oilers' GM by the end of the season per ESPN reporter Emily Kaplan.
Emily confirms what many Oilers fans expected would happen. Holland is done at the end of the year and the Oilers are bracing for more changes after hiring Jeff Jackson. Expect a lot to change at the end of the season.
The question is now not if Holland will get relieved of his duties but now a matter of when.
