Oilers Looking at Trade Options for Broberg
NHL Insider Kevin Weekes has revealed that the Edmonton Oilers are looking at trading their young defenseman Philip Broberg. Weekes explains that because of the Cap situation, the Oilers are stuck looking at a money-in money-out type of trade.
👀 I'm told the @EdmontonOilers are exploring potential Trade options on young D Broberg. Given the #LetsGoOilers Cap situation, it would likely have to be a dollar-for-dollar transaction. #HockeyX #HockeyTwitter #Alberta .
Broberg is currently in the final year of his entry-level contract. He has only appeared in 10 games for the Oilers this season while playing 4 games with the Bakersfield Condors. He has yet to record a point in the 10 games he has played with the Oilers.
Broberg was drafted 8th overall in the 2019 NHL entry draft by Ken Holland, and now it appears the Edmonton Oilers will look to move him.
