This past offseason the Edmonton Oilers brought Sam Gagner in on a PTO with the hope that he could earn an NHL contract.
It has just been announced that Gagner will be signing a new deal with the Bakersfield Condors of the AHL, the Oilers affiliate.
The Condors have signed winger Sam Gagner to an AHL deal. He will wear 89 in #Condorstown.
Gagner is a 1000-game veteran and has played for the Oilers for most of his career. He spent last season with the Winnipeg Jets.
If Gagner impresses in the AHL then there is a chance the could earn an NHL contract next season as he looks to continue his career.
