Edmonton Oilers' Disappointing Start

The Edmonton Oilers' new season has gotten off to a disastrous start, surprising everyone from the management and coaching staff to the players and fans. After a strong finish in the previous season that ended with a second-round exit at the hands of the Vegas Golden Knights, expectations were high for this team.
Unfortunately, the Oilers haven't been winning. Their 2-7-1 record place them at the 7th rank in the Pacific Division, right before the San Jose Sharks, who haven't won a game yet.

As the Oilers are gearing up to face the Canucks on Monday night, star forward Leon Draisaitl offered his insights on the team's struggles and how the players are dealing with them.
"We're going there to win a hockey game, to get back on track & do it the right way."

The Oilers lost their two first games of the season, both against Vancouver. Tonight, they'll try to take on the Canucks, who are currently 2nd in the division, right behind the Vegas Golden Knights.
Addressing these issues will require a collective effort from both players and the coaching staff. Many fans have taken to platforms like X and social media to voice their desire for a coaching change or significant trades that could potentially improve the team's overall balance and lead to better results.
