More details have emerged about a potential move for the Oilers.

Who is Likely to End up in Edmonton or Toronto

Rumours have been flying around regarding who Toronto will acquire to fix up their battered D core. We've heard names like Chris Tanev, Nikita Zadorov (who ended up in Vancouver) among other big names.
Most recently, Holland's interest in Mario Ferraro has been expressed.
Ferraro would be a nice option for the Oilers who are struggling keeping the puck out of the net. The rebuilding Sharks may have significant interest in a young prospect like Broberg.
As seen in the tweet below, the Oilers are also expressing interest in Ferraro and are reportedly offering former top-10 pick Philip Broberg.
According to TFP, Leafs and Oilers are believed to have interest in Mario Ferraro

The Need For Defence in Edmonton

While playing on an abysmal San Jose Sharks team, Ferraro has looked decent. While he has only posted 4 points in 26 games, he leads his team in TOI with an average of 22:12, so he is accustomed to playing big minutes.
His +/- has been very poor but that's to be expected playing huge minutes on a brutal team. Ferraro could make a positive impact on the Oilers back end, assuming the price to acquire isn't too high. He carries an AAV of 3.25 million, which would likely be doable with the Klingberg money off the books.
More to come.
