It's no secret that the Edmonton Oilers need to make a big move at the trade deadline, but is there a chance that their recent form can drastically change their thinking?

Edmonton Oilers stay red-hot and dominate potential trade targets

The Edmonton Oilers have been linked to a major goaltender move this season, with two specific names that keep coming up in the form of Flyers star Carter Hart and the Anaheim Ducks' John Gibson.
According to a recent report however, their six and seven goal outbursts against both of these names has potentially changed their opinion on them as the trade deadline nears.
«The problem for the Oilers is the rumored cost to acquire a goalie right now. It's high and why would Edmonton give up assets for a goalie they potentially make look silly?» - Jim Parsons of The Hockey Writers

Edmonton Oilers targeting a much bigger name at the deadline?

The Oilers have had a need in net since the demotion of Jack Campbell and the inconsistencies of Stuart Skinner all season long, so while they could always opt to trust the pairing of an improved Skinner and Calvin Pickard, there could be a much bigger name to target at the deadline.
All over social media, there have been calls for the Oilers to target Nashville's Juuse Saros or to even pry Jacob Markstrom away from the rival Calgary Flames, but right now one thing is for certain, and that is that all options remain on the table for the Edmonton Oilers.
