The Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch revealed why Leon Draisaitl left the game against the Vancouver Canucks.

In their tough 5-4 loss in Vancouver, the Oilers not only lost the first game of the series. At some point in the second period, they lost one of their best players: Leon Draisaitl.
He had to leave the game in the second period, after he jumped on the ice for a few seconds before returning to the bench, and eventually, the locker room.
Check out how it happened in the following video:
"This was his last shift lasted 10 seconds with 8 mins to go in the period"

"Leon Draisaitl has left the Oilers bench and has yet to return."
After the game, head coach Knoblauch revealed why the Oilers' star player had to return to the locker room.
He said that he was dealing with cramping issues:
Per Elliotte Friedman:
"Postgame tonight, Edmonton coach Kris Knoblauch said Leon Draisaitl left the game during the second period due to cramping issues."
Of course, in the playoffs, we don't often see teams tell the truth regarding injuries. It's possible that Draisaitl was truly dealing with cramping issues, but it could be much more serious than that.
Hopefully is was only cramps and he'll be able to get back on the line up for game two.
We should know more before Friday night.
Stay tuned.
