The Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet slammed the NHL and asked for the Edmonton Oilers' forward Zach Hyman to be suspended in a press conference.

Carson Soucy's cross check on Connor McDavid has been a hot topic since Sunday night's game, when the incident occured. The Oilers' captain received two cross checks, one from behind by Nikita Zadorov and one in the face by Carson Soucy.
Soucy ended up being suspended for one game and Zadorov was fined $5,000:
In a press conference, the Canucks' coach Rick Tocchet mentionned that the NHL had to take a look at another incident from that same scrum: Zach Hyman's cross check on Zadorov.
"It's a scrum. Z got cross checked by Hyman after. I think there's a couple of incidents that George (Parros) and them are looking at right now."
-Rick Tocchet
Handing out a fine to Zadorov and a suspension to Soucy is one thing. But not giving any punishment to Zach Hyman for his cross check on Zadorov makes no sense. Both hits are the same thing. The only difference was who got on the receiving end. This clearly shows that the NHL protects its star players more than they do the others.
We haven't heard the end of this frustrating turn of events, but we hope that the NHL can make unbiased decisions for the rest of the playoffs.
