After the Vancouver Canucks had defeated the Edmonton Oilers last night, Carson Soucy gave Connor McDavid a nasty cross-check to the face that he has now been suspended for only one game.

It just was announced that Carson Soucy would be suspended for his play at the end of last night's game between the Canucks and Oilers.

Vancouver's Carson Soucy has been suspended for one playoff game for cross-checking Edmonton's Connor McDavid.
Here is the video of the vicious cross-check Soucy gave.

The Canucks will now be without Soucy for game 4 and the Oilers will look to capitalize on it.
In addition to Soucy's suspension, Canucks defenseman Nikita Zadorov received a $5,000 fine for cross-checking McDavid moments before the Soucy cross-check.
Vancouver's Nikita Zadorov has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for cross-checking Edmonton's Connor McDavid.

These are the first bits of supplemental discipline handed out by the NHL this postseason and rightfully so.
