Now that the Edmonton Oilers have received two offer sheets from the St. Louis Blues, sources revealed that two other teams had plans to do the same thing.

Two days have passed since Stan Bowman and the Edmonton Oilers received two offer sheets from the St. Louis Blues for Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg, and it seems like the Blues were the quickest, as there were reports of two other teams who had been preparing offer sheets for those two players as well. No matter what, it appears that if it wasn't the Blues, it would have been other teams sending Stan Bowman some offer sheets.
It seems as though offer sheets, which have normally been seen as a stigma and rare, are likely about to become more common. Teams have to start being more creative in a salary cap world. There are also certain teams that have a harder time signing unrestricted free agents (UFA) as many players like to go to tax-free states such as Florida, so creativity is key now.
Fans and experts around the league will be keeping a close eye and ear out to see if we ever find out who those two teams were, or perhaps one of them makes a move to offer sheet other restricted free agents (RFA) out there, such as Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson, who still remains unsigned.
