After weeks fearing this exact scenario could play out, the Edmonton Oilers now face two huge decisions after being offer sheeted by a Central Division team.

For the past few months, speculation has continued over the future's of Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway in Edmonton, as both become vulnerable to an offer sheet the moment this off-season began. Now, it's become official, as NHL Insider Frank Seravalli revealed that not one, but both have been offer sheeted by the surprising St. Louis Blues.
The offers that come with the move have been revealed, and even with the Oilers potential Stanley Cup chase, it's going to be hard for both to turn down these offers from St. Louis.
Offer sheet terms from the Blues:
Dylan Holloway, two years at $2,290,457 cap hit.
Philip Broberg, two years at $4,580,917 cap hit.
Both Broberg and Holloway flashed potential in 2023/24, but neither have proven themselves at the NHL level yet, so this offer from St. Louis comes purely with the hope that both live up to their potential. With no clear plan in place for either in Edmonton given the veteran talent they've brought in this season, it's unclear whether they'll look to match it or let them go and take the compensatory draft picks, but either way, the team now officially have seven days to make two huge decisions.
