Recently rumors have spurred regarding a potential Pierre-Luc Dubois buyout and whether or not he will be an LA King long term and he has now commented on them.
After being traded to the LA Kings from the Winnipeg Jets last offseason, Pierre-Luc Dubois had a disastrous season that left a lot to be desired. With there being the possibility of the Kings only needing to pay Dubois 1/3 of his salary if they buy him out versus 2/3, the Kings may be tempted to part ways with Dubois and cut their losses.
In his exit interview with the LA Kings, Dubois made it known what his intentions are for the offseason and whether he is worried about a buyout or not.
Lots of hard questions for PL Dubois. How does he fix what went so wrong this season?
"Have a good summer. Work hard in the gym, skate... a lot of things that you can do, I'm committed to having a better season, I'll do anything to be better."
No concern over trade/buyout speculation.
Dubois only put up 40 points in 82 games and during the playoffs played even worse scoring only one goal through five games. If the Kings don't see Dubois getting much better next year, they may buy him out despite Dubois' lack of concern.
