Chris Johnston announced that Matt Cooke is making a return to the world of hockey!
Cooke has taken on the role of head coach for the Newfoundland Growlers in the ECHL.
Here's what Johnston had to say:
"Matt Cooke has been named head coach of the ECHL's Newfoundland Growlers."

Cooke had an impressive NHL career, with 1,046 games played between 1998 and 2015 for teams like the Canucks, Capitals, Penguins, and Wild. During this period, he tallied 398 points and accumulated 1,135 penalty minutes. He also won a Stanley Cup with Pittsburgh in 2009.
