The league has made its decision as to whether Arber Xhekaj and other players in last night's heated Canadiens-Senators game will face any suspensions.

Arber Xhekaj had a less-than-pretty evening, himself getting tossed for the second time in a few days after taking a major penalty. He was trying to defend a teammate, but his actions once again saw the Canadiens shorthanded as the Senators scored three times on the power play.
Again faced with penalty trouble, the Montreal Canadiens lost another game 4-3 to the Ottawa Senators at the Bell Centre on Tuesday. The Canadiens, who were already minus David Reinbacher and Patrick Laine after injuries on Saturday, also came close to losing Kirby Dach on Tuesday after a hit by Ridley Greig. Fortunately, Dach returned to the ice and managed to score Montreal's second goal.
NHL insider Eric Engels confirmed that no suspensions would be handed out to any of the players involved.
Many felt different emotions regarding Arber Xhekaj's hit. Some felt it wasn't his shoulder making contact with Tim Stutzle but rather Stutzle's own stick moving up and catching him in the face. Xhekaj did not receive a suspension following his fight with Pare in the previous game against the Leafs. The Department of Player Safety is normally strict when it comes to these situations, having already let him off in the Pare incident, but they somehow managed to not hand him a suspension once again with the Stutzle fiasco.
The Canadiens and Senators meet one more time Saturday in a preseason matchup, so it will be interesting to see if tensions boil over again. Fans will be sure to have their popcorn ready as they gear up for a night of wild entertainment.
