The Winnipeg Jets are in dire need of a centreman and have had absolutely no luck in signing any free agents. Struggling Habs forward Dvorak comes to mind, as a change of scenery might do the player some good after he was only able to put up 9 points in 30 games last season. That's simply not good enough for the $4.45 million dollar man.
It's no secret the Jets need help up front, and after failing to acquire anyone significant on July 1st, a trade for Dvorak may be their next best option. Perhaps a change of scenery can get Dvorak's numbers to improve.
The fanbase in Montreal is growing impatient with Dvorak, and those in Winnipeg are getting impatient with their lack of signings. A trade like this may be a way to spark interest back in the minds of Jets fans and satisfy those in Montreal who wanted Dvorak out.
