The New Jersey Devils are expected to do big things this season, and after beginning the year 2-0, they have trolled the Buffalo Sabres on social media.

After months of waiting, the NHL season has finally begun once again, this time with the Sabres and Devils doing battle in Prague in another of the NHL's Global Series. In the two games, New Jersey would absolutely dominate, with Jacob Markstrom stealing the show in game one behind this incredible, highlight reel save.
They weren't done there either, as the Devils backed it up a day later, taking them to 2-0 on the young season behind some fantastic plays, but none better than Seamus Casey's first ever NHL goal, which is expected to be the first of many for the young blue liner.
While these two teams aren't division rivals, they aren't too far apart geographically, and as such, it appears they have some semblance of a rivalry, of which the Devils took full advantage of after the game, with the social media team taking the opportunity to troll the now 0-2 Sabres.
It's very early in the season for social media teams to be talking trash, but it's always a fun sight to see from fans as your team gets to celebrate major wins, and while it's just two games, it was a fantastic move from the Devils. The team will be facing much stiffer competition as the season rolls on, but for now, New Jersey are undefeated at 2-0, and they're not shy about celebrating before the true hard work of the NHL season begins as they chase a Stanley Cup.
