The Toronto Maple Leafs made a big move by parting ways with Sheldon Keefe on May 9th. Now, he's out there, free as a bird, and it appears the New Jersey Devils have landed him.

The Devils recently bid farewell to Lindy Ruff and brought in Travis Green to finish up last season after a rocky road. Yet, they're in need of a seasoned coach to steer their talented lineup back on track. That's where Keefe comes in.
Keefe coached five seasons with the Maple Leafs, sported a 212-97-40 record and boasted a .665 win percentage. He also has a 2018 Calder Cup under his belt from his AHL days with the Toronto Marlies.
However, what sets Keefe apart is his age. The Leafs have their superstars like Auston Matthews, William Nylander, Mitch Marner, and Jon Tavares. Meanwhile, the Devils boast their own young guns in Jack Hughes, Jesper, Nico Hischier, and Dougie Hamilton.
With Keefe at the helm, he could be the missing piece to unlock their full potential. It's time to make a move and bring in a coach who knows how to win and can help this team take the next step towards building a cup contender.
