New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury just announced the team has locked in forward Dylan Roobroeck on a three-year entry-level contract.

Roobroeck, 20, is 6'7″ and 205 lbs, but unlike Blueshirts enforcer Matt Rempe, he knows how to score.
At just 19 years old and set to turn 20 in July, Roobroeck is already making noise in the hockey world. This past season with the Oshawa Generals in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), he had 26 goals in 68 regular season games.
Then, during the OHL playoffs, Roobroeck elevated his game, notching a team-high 11 goals and 15 assists for 26 points in just 21 games, as the Oshawa Generals made a run to the OHL finals before being swept by the London Knights.
The AHL affiliate Hartford Wolf Pack then signed him to an amateur tryout agreement, which makes him eligible to participate in their best-of-five conference finals Calder Cup playoff series against the reigning champions Hershey Bears. Hartford comes home trailing 2-0 and on the brink of elimination after suffering 6-1 and 4-2 losses to the Washington Capitals affiliate at the Giant Center.
Hailing from London, Ontario, Roobroeck starred in the OHL for three seasons, bouncing between the Generals and the Niagara IceDogs. In total, he's racked up 146 points in 200 regular season games, with 46 goals and 97 assists to his name.
Roobroeck is turning into a steal for the Rangers, who snagged in the sixth round, 178th overall, in the 2023 NHL Draft. The Rangers have struck gold with this talented forward, and fans can't wait to see what he'll bring to the ice in the NHL.
It's more great news for an already fired up fanbase, as their Presidents-Trophy-winning heroes play in the Eastern Conference finals against the reigning conference champions Florida Panthers, beginning on Wednesday in Madison Square Garden.
