Fans of the Ontario Hockey League are likely familiar with the name Brennan Othmann. He has earned a reputation for being a physical player unafraid of dropping the gloves or laying huge hits Jacob Trouba style.
Othmann Taking Notes From His Captain
In tonight's game, Othmann brought that physical playstyle to the NHL. After Kappo Kakko took a questionable hit from Scott Mayfield, Othmann retaliated. He caught Sebastien Aho with his head down behind his own net and took the opportunity to hit him up high.
Othmann received a minor penalty for the hit which was offset when Islanders defender Grant Hutton took a roughing penalty after the whistle.
