In breaking news, it has been revealed that a former top-10 NHL draft pick has been released from the St. Louis Blues today.
Nick Ritchie Released from St. Louis Blues Training Camp
Nick Ritchie was drafted 10th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2014 NHL entry draft after the big-bodied physical forward was a standout in his junior career.
After several years of not finding his footing on an NHL roster, Ritchie has now been released from the St. Louis Blues' training camp after signing a PTO with the team to try and earn a spot.
Nick Ritchie released. Honestly thought he made a solid push at making the team #stlblues
After being released from his PTO, and given his previous NHL history, it's uncertain whether the former top-10 pick will make a return to an NHL roster. Ritchie has had stints with the Ducks, Bruins, Leafs, Coyotes, and Flames organizations.
