Last season, an incident on the ice caught attention when Michael Bunting had an altercation with a referee. Bunting was ejected, and as he was leaving, he was pushed out by the official.

Referee Dan Kelly, Involved in Bunting Incident, Receives Promotion from the NHL
The linesman, Dan Kelly, who had pushed Bunting, has been promoted to a full-time position by the NHL.
