Big news out of Toronto today the Maple Leafs have made a major coaching change. After a disappointing end to the season, which saw them bow out of the playoffs in Game 7 of overtime against the Boston Bruins, Sheldon Keefe is out as head coach.

It's been a rough ride for the Leafs, and many fans and analysts saw this coming after Keefe's comments following the loss to the Bruins. Now, it's official Keefe is no longer at the helm.
When teams play the Leafs, they set up the game for the Leafs to beat themselves.

Tomorrow, general manager Brad Treliving and President Brendan Shanahan will talk to the media tomorrow, announcing the change. Stay tuned as the Maple Leafs embark on this new chapter in their coaching journey.
Brad Treliving releases statement after the firing of Sheldon Keefe:
Leafs GM Treliving: «Today's decision was difficult. Sheldon is an excellent coach and a great man; however, we determined a new voice is needed to help the team push through to reach our ultimate goal. We thank Sheldon for his hard work and dedication to the organization over the last nine years, and wish him and his family all the very best.»
