The Vancouver Canucks have made no secrets about the fact they are looking to move Connor Garland soon, and now, we may finally be getting some answers on the future of the young forward.
Massive trade brewing
According to a report from Eklund of Hockey Buzz, a three team trade between Vancouver, the Montreal Canadiens and New York Islanders could be coming any day now.
The Islanders and the Canadiens are discussing, and I've also heard rumors about the Bruins.
In this rumoured deal, it's likely that Garland would head to New York, with the Canadiens doing what they do best and becoming a third team to help facilitate a deal and land another future asset.
A talented young forward
Garland, while not the star many hoped he would become has been a more than solid contributor for Vancouver over the past two seasons, with 46 and 52 points over that time.
However, the $4.5 million cap hit through the 2026 season has stopped him from being moved thus far, but with Kirby Dach's salary now all tied up in LTIR, the Canadiens could capitalize and get a future asset while retaining salary, so keep your eyes peeled on this potential deal.
