The Vancouver Canucks have officially been eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and now top star Elias Pettersson has revealed his injury woes.

At this time of the year, there are very few players left in the NHL that aren't dealing with some type of injury affliction, but unfortunately for some, it's much much worse than others. That is the case for Vancouver's Elias Pettersson, who struggled mightily in the series against the Edmonton Oilers, and now he's faced the media to reveal just what he's been suffering through;
"Yeah, I was playing with a bad knee since January or it's been like a nagging injury. So, the longer it went, the more pain I felt." Pettersson said.

"No, just needs time to heal, time to rest and then rehab as soon as I'm back home." He said when asked if his injury needed surgery.
This was a tough break for a very talented Canucks team, as they also had to deal with the loss of Brock Boeser, who dealt with a blood clotting issue that forced him to miss the winner-take-all game seven in Vancouver.
Unsurprisingly, Pettersson revealed his desire to get away from the spotlight over the summer, as it was a very long season for him given the public contract issues to go along with the injuries.
Elias Pettersson says it will be nice to get away and refocus over the summer.

"It's been a noisy season in terms of the contract and how shit I've been the last few months." #Canucks @Sportsnet650
The young star is now locked in for a long-time to come, and with the Canucks success in 2023-24, he'll be back next season looking to take Vancouver one step closer to a Stanley Cup in 2024-25.
