The Vancouver Canucks suffered a heartbreaking loss in the final minutes of Game 4 and now their head coach Rick Tocchet revealed a text he got from J.T. Miller after the game.
The Vancouver Canucks were on the verge of putting a stranglehold on their series against the Edmonton Oilers by going up 3-1 in the series. After tying the game late the Canucks would go on to give up a goal immediately and lose tying the series at 2.

After having time to process the loss Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet spoke to the media about the game. During his remarks he called out his team and says more guys need to step up going forward.
There's times there we have some guys, you know where the puck's gonna go, you just gotta get there before the other guy, and I think we're pausing. Some guys are playing pause hockey. And you can't win if you have five or six passengers
He continues on and basically reiterates that you cannot win in the playoffs with just 10 or 12 guys who show up each night. Then Rick Tocchet revealed a surprising exchange he had with forward J.T. Miller. Apparently, after the Game 4 loss, J.T. Miller sent Rick Tocchet a text apologizing for his play.
It's an honest group, said Tocchet on Wednesday. I mean, J.T. Miller texted me today, sorry, I had a bad (game).'
Even though it seems J.T. Miller is feeling down about his game Rick Tocchet still has all of the confidence in the world that his star forward will turn it around.
This guy's been unreal for me. One play, two plays doesn't define (it). Who cares about that? That games over. He's been a monster force, he'll be a monster for us. That's the way we work around here.
At the end of his press conference, Rick Tocchet closed things out on a positive note. While admitting he needs more guys to step up he realizes that they have the players in their locker room to make it happen.
Game 5 is set to drop the puck tonight at 10 pm Eastern. The Vancouver Canucks and J.T. Miller will look to have a big bounce-back night at the expense of the Edmonton Oilers.
