This western Canadian tilt between the Vancouver Canucks-Edmonton Oilers series has been everything fans expected.

Yet the officiating in Game 5? That's what everyone is talking about.
The Canucks were on the power play, Elias Pettersson's, and then Warren Foegele came in to hit him. Yet Pettersson was standing still, both feet on the ice, yet was called for interference. The NHL Rulebook states that a penalty should be imposed on a player who skates, jumps into or charges an opponent with intent to injury. But Pettersson didn't even move.
Charging (Rule 42.1): A minor or major penalty shall be imposed on a player who skates, jumps into or charges an opponent in any manner.

I didn't realize the jump part until @Ron_MacLean showed it to us tonight.
The crowd weren't shy about sharing their thoughts and let beer fly onto the ice. Social media was just as fired up. From Twitter to Instagram, everyone had an opinion on that call. Some agreed with the refs, others thought they needed an eye check.
Despite the chaos, JT Miller came through with a clutch goal in the final minute, securing the win for Vancouver, giving them a 3-2 series lead.
