Insider Believes The Vegas Golden Knights Cheated By Lying About A Player's Health
A top insider believes that the Vegas Golden Knights cheated and has linked a player to the Oilers.
Seravalli Believes Knights Lied
Insider Frank Seravalli recently went onto Oilers Now and discussed some potential PTO options for the franchise. One of them was 2017 2nd overall pick Nolan Patrick who missed the entirety of the the 2022-23 season due to injuries.
However, Seravalli alluded to the Golden Knights hiding that Patrick was healthier than he was made out to be.
"I think Nolan Patrick was maybe a bit healthier than the Vegas Golden Knights might have let on"
If Patrick was healthy but was resting on the LTIR, it is clear that the Golden Knights had some foul play and were trying to save some cap space as Patrick carried an AAV of $1.2 million last year.
The Perfect Oilers PTO Fit?
If Patrick was healthy last year, he could be a prime fit for the Oilers. He has boatloads of skill and could still unlock his true potential if he is put in the right situation.
The Oilers could put him alongside
Connor McDavid or
Leon Draisaitl if healthy and could watch him blossom into a top player. He still does have that potential but time is running out for him so he must do something to save his career.
To get a young former 2nd overall pick for free is not normal so if the Oilers can take this shot, they could see a massive reward. It could also be an opportunity to prove to Vegas that they wasted a young player's potential by lying about his health.
