Today an NHL veteran decided to announce his retirement after 12 professional seasons.

Former Winnipeg Jet Retires At Age 33

Today former NHL defenseman Anthony Bitetto announced his retirement from the NHL.
Anthony Bitetto has announced his retirement at age 33.

Spent NHL time with #Preds, #MNWild, #NHLJets, and #NYR. Most recently in AHL with Charlotte.
Bitetto spent 12 seasons in the professional ranks of North American hockey. Seven of those seasons came in the NHL. In that time he played 197 NHL games and had 28 points.
Bitetto was considered a solid defense-first defenseman. He most recently played in the NHL with the New York Rangers in 2020-21. Bitetto played his most NHL games in a season with the Winnipeg Jets in 2019-20.
Since then he contributed at the AHL level as a veteran leader. Bitetto will now head off into retirement and his next endeavor.
